If You Found A Camera, What Would You Do?

Last week we spent a day at Brampton, Ontario's beautiful new hospital, more on that later, our daughter was in for day surgery, more on that later too. Luckily for us, we don't spend many days like this and thought, while we were killing off time waiting, we would take pictures and do a post on Brampton, Ontario's gorgeous new hotel-like hospital.

Unfortunately, somewhere between admitting, waiting rooms, cafeteria, lobby and all the other departments that we checked out, we misplaced our treasured Panasonic digital camera. You see, we had just purchased a new video camera and brought it along as well. We can only think that by not being used to handling two cameras at once and carrying around the bag of necessities (and more!) that day, that somehow we put it down and trotted off.

We scoured everywhere we could remember being, looking for it, but to no avail. Finally we filed a report with the security department. The answer from the security officer is that we shouldn't expect to see it any time soon, we don't want to believe that.   It was iI is our hope that some honest person retrieved it and will turn it in to the security department. So tell us;

The City of Brampton is running a complete learn to swim program for all ages. Splash Swim for Life has been designed to train from tots to leadership levels. Participants will be taught safe entries and exits, surface support, swim to survive, water fitness and water smart eduction. Swimming is great for almost anyone, regardless of your age because water workouts don’t strain your muscles. Swimming develops strength and endurance, works all the major muscle groups and increases flexibility all while being fun for everyone.

Fantastic News, Makes This A Thankful Thursday!

We just heard the best news and that is that our beloved cup of Java is actually good for us! That's right, now we know that our delicious cup of Joe is providing us with a gram of soluble fiber; the type that helps lower cholesterol; and that it lowers the risk of type 2 diabetes, Parkinson's and heart disease than those that do not indulge; has more antioxidants than blueberries and the magnesium found in coffee, may make cells more sensitive to insulin, reports the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.

Now coffee lovers world wide can rejoice and drink up.  Always knew our solo grande, non fat, no foam latte was good for us!

Need Your Help, Decorators, Stagers, Painters or Anyone With An Eye For Picking Colours 

You are probably going to find this hard to believe.  It's time to paint the kitchen and we can't agree on what colour to use.

So we thought we would reach out to all our Artive Rain friends.  With a 189,000+ Rainers out there, this may have to come down to a vote.

Below, is a couple of pictures of our kitchen cupboards, with and without flash.  The Builder told us they were natural maple.  We have a blue pearl granite counter top that looks mostly black.  The room is about 28' long by 12'  with 9' ceilings and glass walkout at one end.

We haven't picked a backsplash yet, but wanted to get the rest of the room painted.

Looking forward to hearing your ideas of what colour to paint the walls.

We usually use Benjamin Moore paint, it is one of the higher quality paints in our area, but we are sure if you can give us your opinion we should be able to find it or a close match.

and bring all your gently used clothes, purses, accessories and shoes to Shopper's World Plaza (499 Main St. S. at the intersection of Highway 10 and Steeles Ave.) Saturday, August 21st and donate them into the specially marked 'Look At Me' bins to go to the local women's shelters.

'Look At Me' is a non-profit organization that aids women in unfortunate circumstances. Items can be donated here until August 22, 2010.
