Pay It Forward Even To Our Furry Friends

Paying It Forward is a random act of kindness, something we should do as many times as we possibly can every day, animals included.

Today we received in our mail a notice from the Toronto Humane Society who takes in stray animals and unfortunately sometimes animals no longer wanted. We think no longer wanted has to be impossible, but apparently it happens.

The Toronto Humane Society was advising us that in the summer time, the rate of arrivals at the shelter increases and it falls at a time when donations are down because donors are away on vacations. The Toronto Humane Society does not have any government funding and relies solely on donations.  

This year is especially a trying time for the shelter because of our recent postal strike here in Canada.  It has impacted their number of donations greatly and they need our help.

Thinking of how loving and affectionate these animals can be and the care they require, we quickly donated an extra few dollars to this worthy cause at www.torontohumanesociety.com.

Maybe you can Pay It Forward to the furry friends in your area by donating to an animal shelter near you. 

As our good friend Chris Smith says, we are the real beneficiary of actions like these, when we consider how it makes us feel for awhile.
