Is Their A Market In Florida For Toronto Ontario, Canada Buyers?
We were just reading John Mulkey's post on the possibility of many more foreclosures about to hit the market. It seems that a lot of them will be in the Florida market. Many people from our area Toronto, Ontario are known as "Snowbirds" flock south when our weather starts to get cold. We just had another drop in our mortgage rates to 3.99% for five years. The low interest rates here and low house prices there might just be a winning combination.
We are looking for Florida Agents interested in working with us. You provide the pictures and details of the good deals in your area and we will add it to our regular marketing of our houses and connect the Buyers with you. It would make sense for the Buyers here to arrange financing on their current properties at the now low rates and have cash to buy the Florida properties. We would need all the information that you could provide on things that would affect the out of Country buyer, taxes, closing procedures, lawyers etc.
Recently Bob Stewart had us blogging on neighbourhoods, this type of information would be great for us to help sell your areas to our Buyers. Who knows, maybe we would feature a different area of Florida each week. This might be a solution in many ways, help the "Snowbirds" find a nice house and at the same time help the Florida economy.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello Al & Peggy----What a clever idea! Erie, PA has its share of snow birds, too, without the volume that Toronto has. I will be interested to see what you do with this.
Mary
Hi Mary, we need some Agents that are willing to put a little work in, but we believe there is a market out there.
Hi Al and Peggy - Sounds like an interesting idea. I'm wondering if Re/max requires that referrals to other areas be sent to Re/max agents in the other area or if you can refer to any agent with any brokerage.
Hi Mr. Marc! We can refer to whoever we wish, they just recommend we have signed referral papers. Touch wood, we have never had a problem.....only required a reminder of a referral once, Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
