Very interesting that the Average Price is greater than the Median Price.  Down here in Albany, it is the opposite.......Best wishes from Upstate NY, Lewis

Oh ya, my son's lacrosse team (8th grade) got destroyed 2 weeks ago in Rochester by a team from Brampton!  No hard feelings though!!!

Al & Peggy, That's great news for Toronto.  Toronto means "meeting place". It sounds like many buyers have discovered it's a great place to meet and buy a home.

Hi Lewis! Thanks for not having any hard feelings, we need every win we can get here in the Toronto area! LOL!  Best wishes to you too!

Hey Steve, half of us didn't know Toronto meant "meeting place" so thanks for that useful bit of information.  Are you from here or have family here, no wait there is a Toronto in the United States isn't there......

Hi Al and Peggy - I haven't been doing my statistical posts for a while.  I need to start doing them again.  Can you going to do a post for the districts in area "S"?  (I can pull the N, W, E and C areas myself, eh?)

Rats!  You were too observant.  We don't have area "S".  Did you know that most of the districts will be disappearing soon as part of the redistricting project?

No, but do now......but I just learned the districts the way they are! Are they changing areas or the way they number them?  When is all this happening?  Are they going to give us more and narrow it down?  Brampton used to be districts that were lettered and we went from A to P..then they did the redistricting and gave us only the two districts W23 and W24.  We are much too large for only two districts.

I first learned about the redistricting project at Realtor Quest back around May 2009 at the TREB technology seminar.  I'm not sure when it is going live but I think it is probably in the next several months.

Instead of meaningless names such as W23 and W24, TREB will be using neighbourhood names that are provided by each of the towns and cities within the TREB area.  For example, names such as The Annex, The Beach (or The Beaches - not sure which one), Willowdale and Riverdale will be used.  I think TREB said that there will be a couple thousand neighbourhoods (or maybe they said several hundred neighbourhoods).  I think that in the Toronto core (probably the Central districts), they said that they would retain the current identifiers but I am not positive.

Too many areas have grown substantially over the years.  Markham only has N10 and N11 (if you ignore Thornhill) and that is far to big an area these days.

Well that is interesting, is that so it is easier for the public?  Maybe there won't be any need for these changes once CREA and the Competition Act people all settle.  Or......is that the reason for all these changes??

We were at RealtorQuest as well, too bad we didn't know you back then
