Merry Christmas
It was a balmy 48 degrees in Orillia, Ontario today. No snow in sight but a beautiful sunny day for the 2009 Santa Claus Parade. Everyone was having fun waiting to Santa to come. (Click the speaker in the top left corner of the slide show for a little Drummer Boy music.)
We would like to wish you a Very Merry Christmas and the best for 2010

At least we didn't get rained on but snow is always a nice touch isn't it!
I love Christmas time. It's not the same without snow, but I guess I better get used to that. No snow for the foreseeable future in central Florida. LOL Have a Merry Christmas.
It was a fabulous day Susan, we didn't get rain or snow, which was nice for the crowds and especially the parade participants, who had a very long walk. Right by the hospital which we thought was nice for the patients. It was a wonderful day.
Nathan hello from very sunny and warm Florida! We hope you don't get snow, we would like to visit soon, oh wait, if you got snow then probably we wouldn't, which would mean we wouldn't have to leave home! Merry Christmas to you too!
What a great job, thanks Mom & Dad .... aka Al & Peggy for sharing that with everyone. It was a beautiful day for the parade, I would have loved to been there with you guys watching it. I think Santa has a few pounds to gain in the next month ... what a skinny Santa ... ho ho ho!!!!
Love the slide show. Makes me want to travel. Too cool!
Hi Al and Peggy - I enjoyed the Orillia Christmas parade through your eyes. I thought you already closed the cottage for the winter. Did you just go to Orillia for the day?
BTW, may I suggest that you slow down the speed that the photo changes to the next photo so that I can enjoy each picture a bit longer. I haven't yet used the website you are using so I'm not sure what your options are. However, I did make similar comments to someone else a few months ago.
Also, although the page turning feature is nice for a couple of photos, I find that it does get irritating on the eyes after seeing so many in rapid succession. May I suggest that you use a different transition method?
Al and Peggy - Wow, I think you got the whole parade from start to finish! Great photos but you can keep the 48 "balmy" degrees :-). It was in the low 80's here in Cape Canaveral and we've got the big art festival coming up next week end.
Al & Peggy, I enjoyed the slide show and the parade! Goodness, I'd better get some shopping in :) Thanks for sharing that slide show---it gave me some Christmas Spirit.....
Al & Peggy, looks like a fun time was had by all. Al was that you marching with the Pita Pie costume?
We wish you had been there too Laura, actually Dad err Al yelled to Santa that he needed more pounds and Santa lifted his belly of and hoo hoo'd, that was why Santa is pointing. See ya soon!
Come on up Larry we'll show you the sights!
Hey Marc, glad you enjoyed the parade. If you want to slow down the show just mouse over any picture you are interested in and it will stop for you. Didn't want to make it too slow and bore people. BTW, we have a four season place although we don't indulge in outdoor winter sports much. Tried tubing last year at Horseshoe Valley, now that was fun!
Hope we get to see some of the artisans wears through YOUR eyes John. Ya, guess we have the temps in opposite to you eh? We have 48 you must be enjoying what 84?
Glad you helped get you in the mood Carole. The weather has been so nice and sunny, plus we haven't heard much Christmas music, maybe it will start soon and the festivies will help. Merry Christmas Carole.
You busted me Ed! The give away was my big smile wasn't it!
Looks like a great parade, and you guys nailed the weather... thanx for sharing =)
It looks like you had a fun time. The people there must have thought you were from the local newspaper when they saw you taking so many photos.
So all that was missing was the snow. Maybe for Christmas.
Thanksgiving isn't even here yet. Shouldn't that have been a Thanksgiving Day parade instead of a Christmas parade?
It was a gorgeous day Chris, we couldn't have ordered it any better!
Hey Jenny that shutter button is addictive once you start pushing it! Just heard we are going to have a mild winter and we are happy about that. Al says the only thing he wants on the ground at Christmas is soft white sand!
Now Jim, you guys are late! We had Thanksgiving over and done with a month ago! We are already thigh deep into Christmas, as we are sure your our marketing guru would appreciate! Hey Jim, did you see the C21 sign in one of the pictures? See we are not prejudice! BTW Happy Thanksgiving
