WELL IT'S 'PANIC TIME'!
Time for those of us that are procrastinators to get out there and finish off the Christmas shopping!
Stumped for last minute gifts or stocking stuffer ideas?
Well here are a few that may help you:
How about some dark chocolate, green tea samplers, veggie steamer, sun protective clothing, the Wii Fit or a gym membership?
Maybe a suspender type life jacket, the newer 'fit' running shoes like Sketchers are advertising.
Gift cards are becoming more and more popular especially at this late date, but please be careful and read the rules of the cards, know the expiration dates and such.
One of the best gifts you can give, is that of your time. Quality time, given from your heart to your loved one or friend. How about a special calendar. Not just any old calendar, a calendar with a date circled on each month. Attach an envelope to each month that can only be opened on the 1st of that month. The envelope has a letter inside outlining the activities that special day will hold. Example: the calendar could be a gift to your Mom, January 15th could be the date chosen, the letter would state that on January 15th at 10:30 am you will be picking her up for a picnic in the park, a day of shopping or a spa day or whatever you have chosen. The activity should be something you know the recipient will enjoy. The whole day is theirs to enjoy your company. Each month would hold a different activity.
Believe us, this will be the gift they will cherish most. It's a gift that will last all year long. Just remember to mark your own calendar! This is one appointment you can not cancel!
Do you have any last minute gift ideas you can share? This late, we all need help!

Panic Time? too late. You'll have to show property today to out of town visitors. :-)
That is a clever idea. BTW: I bought those fit sneakers, and I'm not noticing a difference.
Definitely panic time for me over here! I've been so busy up until last night, that now I have to spend all day today cleaning, wrapping and running around getting ready. I need to get off here and get going!
Love your calendar idea! Very neat!
Sincerely,
Kathleen
Ha, not a chance Geoff! Have to admit, love the adrenaline rush of the last minute panic!! Sick eh?
Oh, thanks for the heads up on the sneakers Melissa. Thought it sounded too easy, where shoes get fit!
Oh, Kathleen sounds awful. Time to enlist the elves help for sure! Have tried the calendar idea and it was a hit. Good luck today and enjoy Christmas tomorrow.
Hi Al & Peggy, well, if I don't have it by now I won't have it, LOL. Have a wonderful holiday!
Al & Peggy, I baked 10 dozen cookies, wrapped them, attached a card and had my husband deliver the German Chocolate cookies I make just for Christmas to friends and associates and just finished wrapping last minute items last night. Whew!
I do like your calendar idea! Merry Christmas to both of you! I especially enjoyed spending 2009 with you!
Al & Peggy - My boys made calendar's this year, but they include pictures and drawings that they did. According to my family it's the best gift they received. Happy Holidays!
Does this post mean that you have evacuated Florida and are back in Canada? LOL
Love the calendar idea.
Al and Peggy my shopping is all done. The only last minute running around that i want to be doing is for NEW BORROWERS .......... LOL
Merry Christmas :)
Merry Christmas Al and Peggy - I did all my shopping way back when. I just had to buy some fresh food this morning. Can you believe that No Frills is not open at 7:45 am and when I went back later, they had no President's Choice Candy Cane Ice Cream? Who doesn't eat Candy Cane Ice Cream for Christmas???
I just did a blog that you should enjoy: http://activerain.com/blogsview/1400382/gifts-from-the-heart-for-christmas-birthdays-anniversaries-closings
A&P, Merry Christmas. I hope that it is a great one for you and your family...

Wouldn't that be a gift George? A last minute deal! Merry Christmas
