Hello Active Rain Friends,
How is Monday treating you?
We hope that you who were blasted with yet another huge snow storm are all okay. British Columbia would love some of that stuff for the Winter Olympics. Has it warmed up in Florida yet? Are the flowers growing in California?
We were really wondering how many people out there love their Moose. Seeing it is Moose Monday we wanted to share this photo sent to us by one of our dear Canadian friends, a real genuine Moose lover...

To celebrate, you should all by moose munch from Harry and David. Located right here in Southern Oregon. www.harryanddavid.com :-)
Wow, I don't usually see any moose down here in Southern Michigan, but if one comes by I will have to consider this. Great photo!
Moose munch? Never heard of it before, thank you! You actually have that many moose in Oregon? Ah, you got us.................chocolate moose munch, ok am all for that!
Hey Michael, if you do, please post us a picture!
I don't think Moose is indigenous to the Pocono's, but if I happen to see one I'll invite it over to celebrate Moose Monday. LOL
Thanks for the post.
We love moose too!... but clearly not as much as the fella in the photo, who seems to care little about his own personal well being.
With all due respect, moose are wild animals and we would be wise to remember that fact and fear for the safety of those who do not.
Al and Peggy,
This is too funny. I had logged on to post exactly the same photo (not kidding) and what do I see when I click on your Monday post? The same moose! I was going to title it: "Moose Monday - Please don't try this at home!"
I got the photo via email through a friend of mine just days ago and I was informed it was a Canadian moose (but I was not provided with the exact location of the sighting). I thought for sure, it deserved to be on Moose Monday. I patiently waited till Monday and little did I know, that my Canadian Buds who woke a little earlier than me (also helped by the fact that they are in a different time zone and a couple of hours ahead) beat me to it. Well, at least I am glad that the photo of the Canadian moose get posted by Canadians living in Canada. :-)
I remember the tasty Moose Munch. Thanks for sharing some.
Now, I got to find a new photo to share for my Moose Monday post!
Al & Peggy, Is there an AFTER photo? I've never seen a moose kiss a human before!
Now isn't that only appropriate with Valentines' day coming up. Moose aren't common at all in Ct, but there have been sightings. Maybe a pet moose looking for a favorite someone that moved from up north? Unrequited love, how sad.
Al and Peggy, I don't think that would be my idea of fun, swapping spit with a Moose. Nope I think I will pass on that one ......... LOL
Al & Peggy - This is a great shot and this Monday has been much better than last Monday.
What a great picture. I've never seen a real live moose but I'd love too.
I remember the Moose in the back yard in Prince George. Thanks for the memories. The only moose I've near since is Moose Milk.
Silly goose uh, moose...
Helping you help others live their American dream...
Al and Peggy - Now that's one friendly moose. I wonder if he is someone's pet.
what a great photo ! it must have been such a thrill to be so up close and personal with this majestic beast.
... now that moose munch sounds yummy !
Hi Al & Peggy,
I too think it's a great photo. Not that I would be kissing a Moose. Thanks for sharing.
That's a touching photo--to be that close to such a huge animal. By the way, I am a fan of Moose Munch.
It's Tuesday and snowing - car is covered already! What a freindly moose! Thanks for sharing with us.
Al & Peggy, the gentleman must feel very comfortable with wild animals or has known this moose for a long while. It's a beautiful animal but it is wild.
Al and Peggy - that gal's boyfriend can derail a locomotive I don't know any body foolish enough to take one on by kissing his gal
What an awesome shot that is!
I knew the wildlife in Alaska like to rub noses with the Eskimoses, but it's usually much smaller wildlife. Maybe as you get to bigger countries, you start rubbing noses with bigger wildlife.
Hey I got the same photo from a friend. I thought it was from a relative of theirs. Guess not.
I've been up and close and personal with a moose in Yosemite, but I didn't stop to kiss it. In fact, I ran as fast as my little feet could carry me in the opposite direction with a thirty pound baby on my back. Not as fast as I wanted. and backwards because I didn't want him charging toward the little one! That guy is a lot braver than I would be! Great photo!
Unbelievable! I had heard that moose are pretty ill tempered; but seeing one interact with a human in that way sort of filters that knowledge a bit:-)
