It's Time To Spring Ahead

Can you believe it's here already, that time of year when we turn the clocks ahead and jump one hour closer to Spring? Well we are happy about getting closer to Spring, but not about losing on full hour of sleep! How do we get ahead and lose all at once like that?
Daylight Saving Time, arrives tonight. There are benefits to the extra hour of 'awake' time, more time to cross things off the to do list, some will now be able to get in a round of golf before work, have more Active Rain time, an extra hour of exercise time, ok, maybe not that much, but there is so much we can achieve with an extra hour.
What will you do? Whatever it is, enjoy and don't forget to set the clocks ahead tonight to avoid confusion tomorrow!
Remember, if you snooze you lose. Oh that's right, we lost already didn't we; we lost that hour of sleep!

Hey guys, how strange. I tried to leave a comment on this blog and I would have been maybe #7. When I hit submit, it came back with a where's my keys my screen. As I come back to see if the comment got posted, all the other comments are gone. Somebody connected to Bob Stewart wants to make sure the point tally stays at a special number. Eerie
As for my comment, you may need that extra hour of daylight to figure out who won the second prize. After all, we know who will take first prize, don't we?
Hey, was that contest rigged or something, LOL! How does Ed know he won!
I have said this all over AR, I never recover from the time change, don't see why we have to do it. But, if I don't change my clocks I will be out of sync even more than I already am.
Ed you got caught in the vacuum between our computer and AR. We were trying to make a change after posting and between fonts, colours, proxy errors etc., it got all messed up.
We re did it and posted a new one. (we deleted the old one and points, but lost the first set of comments)
Andrea, we think Ed took this contest to his accountant and had him put it into his super duper calculator to come up with Ed's magic number.
The Winner remains to be seen...
Thanks for the reminder!
A very "timely" blog!
I'll trade that hour of sleep for more daylight anytime...
I LOVE this day! I just wish we weren't in the middle of another Nor'Easter :)
Howdy and evenen to ya Al and Peggy
We are all ready to change the clocks in the house.
Al and Peggy, I am already missing my hours sleep.
I am glad that Ed realizes the the 1,500 points are mine ............ LOL
Al & Peggy - I can't believe it's already time to "spring forward," I've always preferred to "fall back."
Hey Al and Peggy - I came back tonight to read your response to my comment but, like Ed, had the keys message. I don't recall my original comment but hopefully, it doesn't mess up the point scoring for the contest.
Your welcome Nu Nu, we don't mind losing an hour of sleep if it gets you closer to the day you leave to go see Cherry. Have fun!
LOL Jeffrey! Just hope you still remember at bedtime!!
Well, guess you have that right Gerry. It is so much nicer to finish up working and it is still daylight!
Ah Carole not another one! Just remember Spring is only 7 days away!
Glad to hear it Dale. Some in our house will change automatically, but we have to remember there are a few that need our help!
Have been sleepy all day today George, usually that doesn't happen until after we change the clocks. Guess you and Ed are going to duke it out.
Right there with you Michelle, except as Gerry pointed out it is nicer having the later days
It was just a weird post and day today. We somehow lost the first comments in a Bad Gateway!
Thanks for the reminder!!! It hurts in the morning to lose the extra hour of sleep but it is great to have our evenings brighter for longer!!!! Only 5 days to the first day of Spring :0)))))
Love the brighter nights for sure! Don't forget to change any batteries, in carbon monixide dectors, smoke alarms and fancy gadgets ie keyless entry panels on your doors!
Al & Peggy.. Everyone says that in Spring they loose an hour of sleep. I beg to differ. You can sleep the same amount of time.. and just loose an hour during the day that you would be up.
Thanks for the reminder.
Al & Peggy, after all the notifications and reminders about day-light savings...I didn't realize or remember it until 11:15 this morning...well, it was actually 12:15 then...oh well...lucky for me I didn't have a set appointment for that time.
Remember to change the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors, too, as well as having your fire extinguisher inspected.
