Carter's Homestead is a family friendly neighbourhood, in the area known as Heart Lake, situated on approximately ten streets, bounded by Kennedy Road on the east, Conestoga Drive on the west, Wexford Road on the south, and Ruth Avenue on the north in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.
Built in the 1980's, the Carter's Homestead consists of twenty two different floor plans. (see slide show below). Ten styles range from 1244 sq. ft. to 2160 sq. ft and sit on 30 and 35 foot lots. The remaining eleven layouts range from 2029 sq. ft. to 3030 sq. ft. and are on 40 and 45 ft. lots.
We call Carter's Homestead a family friendly neighbourhood, because the residents here enjoy the amenities of Archdekin Recreation Centre, Conestoga Square shopping plaza, the Heart Lake Conservation area and access to Highway 410 are all nearby. Loafers Lake is another conservation area residents can take a short walk to.
Family oriented, because there are a variety of schools in the neighbourhood as well, from Conestoga Public School, Dufferin Peel Catholic District, St. Agnes Roman Catholic School, Heart Lake Secondary School and for the little tikes there is Rowntree Montessori and Building Blocks Nursery School.
A few minutes drive will find the family at the Trinity Common Mall, the newest mall in Brampton, for more diverse shopping, including Home Depot, Canadian Tire, Staples, Zellers and Cineplex movie theatres. Highway 410 allows further access to Highway 403 with its destinations of Mississauga, Oakville or Niagara Falls, while the access from the 410 over to the 401, will find the family in the City of Toronto with all the amenities a major city can offer including theatre, museums and professional sports teams including baseball, hockey, basketball and football.
