Al & Peggy - I've seen this video before, it's amazing and just goes to show what can happen if you don't give up. If I listened to everyone around me when I got into real estate I would have quit 9 years ago....

I have always appreciated it when folks have told me I will fail. I'll try even harder to prove them wrong.

Time to step out of the comfort zone, no matter who tells you you shouldn't.

That's what's wrong!!!!  Thanks so much!!!   Everyone keeps telling me how well I'll do - they just need to tell me I'll fail, and I'll try harder .....   RIGHT?   (Actually, that's probably not far from the truth for most of us .....)

Thanks for sharing this.  So many of us have been told we can't do something and we just need to be determined to move ahead no matter what they say.  As long as we have the desire we can make it happen.

I was told "you will never make it on your own" -when I announced that I would be leaving my ERA office and opening my own independent office after being in the real estate business for only 3 years. Everyone was sure that there was no way I could survive without a brand name on my card... and I too said "watch me."  4 years later- they are still watching me. No one knows what you can do... until you do it. Thanks for the words of inspiration in your post!

Why is that Michelle? When you hear someone coming into real estate they always say their family and friends advise them not too. Very strange.

This is true for us to Jennifer. We think for the kids too because whenever we say don't they do LOL!

Al and Peggy - A very motivating and true video.  Thomas Edison did over 1,000 attempts at inventing the light bulb until he got it right.

Great video, I've never seen it.  I didn't know this about any of those people.  I've always been fascinated that Bill Gates was a college drop-out.

Al & Peggy, never saw this before but always believed the senitment...there's something about people telling me I can't do something...it's not that I have to prove them wrong...it is that I believe in myself and if I do fail it wasn't for lack of trying.

I love that being told they can't do something just inspires some people even more!

I remember when I wanted to become a Realtor. Everyone except my marketing guru/husband said that I was too old to start a new career. Good thing I didn't listen to them. There's a reason why you love someone, and it's usually because they support you unconditionally and will do whatever they can to help you be successful.

All my life people have been telling me that I can't do something, beginning with my mother.
