We are breaking records here in Ontario, Canada! Weather records that is! And we are feeling hot, hot, hot! Today's temperatures are hotter than in Hawaii!! Hotter than a pepper sprout as Johnny Cash and June Carter would have described it.

Seems like summer has come early to our area. Several records were broken yesterday, and today is sizzling even hotter. This is not our normal heat wave, first its too early and it started in the Southwest and then through the midwest of the United States. Many all time records have been broken for the hottest May. Along with the sizzle came the humidity which is soaking everybody today and the threat of hail and thunderstorms are in our future forecast.
Today, though we have to be thankful for the cooling air conditioning and the leftover snowball in the freezer from winter. Yep, we are hotter than a pepper sprout and feeling, hot, hot, hot! What is your favourite way to 'cool down'?

After a long cold Winter you guys deserve a little bit of Summer in the Springtime!
Same thing in New York about ninety two degrees...
Stay cool!
Al & Peggy, I like the warmer temps that Spring & Summer bring! I like warm, warm, warm!
Hi Al and Peggy - We've been having a lot of great weather recently. Unfortunately, in one building I was in yesterday, the chiller wasn't working in part of the building.
We know it is hot when we can fry an egg on the asphalt. Looks like we may be in for a long hot summer...
We broke records here in CT yesterday, one spot was 99. Too hot for me. My poor doggie's stomach did not like it either. Glad we are looking at 80 today only. Whew....
Ya Craig, Summer in the Spring is what we have! Actually our winter was light on snow and pretty mild. But we are not complaining about the heat its the HUMIDITY!
Ewww Josh, think you may have beat us by 2 degrees then!
Warm is good Wanda, hot is not! LOL! It drains ya of your spunk!
Hope thatwasn't in the TREB building Marc! Laura's AC of course didn't work so she's sweating it!
Saves on hydro doesn't it Michael! Save some of that heat for next winter!
99!!!!!!!!!!! Yikes! Ya, its hardest on the pets, when they gotta go outside!
This was a cold winter so I am not complaining about the warm weather yet, oh I am sure that at some point I will be complaining, it is inour nature. It's too hot, it's too cold, we are never happy.
Have a great weekend
Ya got that right Gerry. But at least the sun is shining, the birds are twirping, all is good.
Al & Peggy - I love hanging by the pool on hot days, but unfortunately I can't do it every time it's overly hot out, I'd be there all the time.
Al and Peggy, I'm not complaining at all. I moan all winter, so now I have to put up and shut up.
Hi Al and Peggy, I'm sorry, but yes, I have to complain about this weather - it's too hot! I came down with a bout of heat stroke and on top of that have to use the air conditioner that makes me achy all over and my poor dog can't get in his usual walks. No one has had a chance to get used to this heat! Extremes aren't good and I can't wait for a high of 23 again :)
Al & Peggy, I'm the first to admit that I don't do well in hot weather. It was around 35 C here yesterday and a couple of years ago we had nearly a month of 38 C + temps...way too hot for me...I may have to go back to Chicago!!
My "favourite" way to cool off??? Well, a swim always works, but I'm kind of partial to sitting at the bar of my favourite watering hole, always cool, slightly darkened...waiting out the heat...of course this approach is not too good for business. All kidding aside, what can you do? It's even too hot sometimes to go for a motorcycle ride.
That is the problem isn't it Michelle? There is never enough time for the pool, where its cool!
LOL! That is right Malcolm, although this winter was pretty mild to others.
Agree Pam, we did not have a chance to climatize.....25 - 27 is perfect for us, 75 - 77for those of you to the south of us! Michelle's pool sounds tempting!
Windy City here we all come Nick! Hey Nick, how about those floating bars that are right in the pool? Last one in buys the drinks!
It has been extremely hot here too. Yesterday was 100 degrees. You feel like you are going to dissolve into a puddle of sweat. ICK!
Ouch 100 Debbie?? No, no, no, that is much too hot!
You would be proud of us, Al & Peggy. We toughed out our first mini heatwave without turning on the A/C =)
It's fantastic isn't it. I wonder how our Summer will be. I'm not complaining though. I'd take this weather any day over the Winter.
Chris, we are proud of you and misery loves company, so now we feel better because we did not turn ours on either even though a certain someone thinks we are totally nuts! ;)
Well we have to agree with you there Charlene about taking summer over winter...but you are right if this is Spring weather, what is it going to be like this summer?
Favoite way to cool down? I think this household likes margaritas. Except for Zoey the Cool Cat. She just chills naturally.
