Al and Peggy's Corner: Need A Movie For The Weekend?

Need A Movie For The Weekend?

Need A Movie For The Weekend?

How about an action packed, suspense thrilller starring Mel Gibson?  His latest movie 'Edge of Darkness'
will keep you guessing right from moment it starts. Twice during the movie we literally flew off the couch, good thing the first time the glasses were on the side table and the second time they were empty.  You have to love the expressions in this movie and the story line.

So when its time to come indoors after a day in the sun and you feel like curling up with a good movie, pick up 'Edge of Darkness'
, then let us know what you think.

Al and Peggy.. Let's hear it for Mel Gibson's come back.  I loved him back in the 80's.  I'll check out this movie real soon.

We think he is good too Josh. Have to admit Mel is one of our favourites. We were sorry to hear the mess he got himself into but hopefully that is behind him.

Hi Valerie, yes let's hope this is his comeback movie....remember him with Danny Glover? Loved that series. Yes check it out and let us know if you think it is his comeback movie.

Thanks for the movie tip Al and Peggy.  I usually like Mel Gibson movies, and even my wife, who is not a movie buff, will watch one of Mel's movies with me.

Al and Peggy - You need to request a 3D TV along with 3D movies from Santa Claus this Christmas.  Or if Santa says no, there is always Laura!!! (What are kids for?)

I'll have to check this one out. Thanks for the movie review...

Gary, we agree Mel makes good movies. Glad your wife will join you Gary!

Oh you know someone will be all over the 3D TV. So if we don't have one by Christmas you will give Laura a hint for us? Eh partner in crime!

Oh ya, check it out for sure.....but don't watch the trailer Michael, they give too much away!

Hi Al and Peggy,

Ah, Mel. He's a very talented guy and a very passionate actor. Thanks for the review. Since I've loved every other one of his movies (ummmm, except the Road Warrior stuff, yeesh) I know I'll be watching this one :)

Hi Al and Peggy,

Sorry, should have really said his Mad Max Series - Road Warrior was the second of the serious: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mad_Max

They're B-rated movies, but I do know of some people who like them.

Still don't think we have heard of it Pam and we thought we were Mel Gibson fans

Well, in my opinion, you're not missing his best work. He was really young. - but you might want to hunt down some copies and give them a try :)

Hello Al and Peggy - Thanks for the tip.  I wonder if I can stream it on Netflix?  As Pam mentioned above, check out Mad Max.  It's one of my all time Mel Gibson favorites.

Ever since December 1991, I have not had any use for Mel Gibson. He's a homophobic, anti-Semitic, anti-feminist drunk.
