Let The Games Begin - World Cup 2010, Day 3

Day 2 of World Cup 2010 finally found a winner.  Argentina beat Nigeria 1 - 0, South Korea played a strong game against Greece and came out the winner 2 - 0, and the United States looking like a completely different team from the World Cup 2006 played a strong defensive game and got a break from the English goaltender and finished in a 1 - 1 tie against England.

Sunday June 13, 2010 World Cup 2010 enters Day 3.

Game 6 will be between Algeria and Slovenia and played at Peter Mokaba (Polokwane), with a capacity for the World Cup of 46,000.

Game 7 will be between Germany and Australia at Moses Mabhida Stadium (Durban), with a capacity for the World Cup of 70,000.  This one will be a hot one...

Game 8 will be between Serbia and Ghana at Loftus Versfeld (Pretoria), with a capacity for the World Cup of 49,365.

How about a quick quiz, what flag belongs to what country... good luck.

Al & Peggy - I love your daily World Cup reports!!!  I missed, but recorded, the two games yesterday since I was busy coaching and watching my boys play soccer.  However I did see the England vs. USA game and it was great.

Al & Peggy,

That was quite an upset and a huge point for the USA!  I am looking forward to the game between Germany and Australia.  Thank you for the updates.
