Let The Games Begin - World Cup 2010, Day 8
Day 7 of World Cup 2010 brought us another 3 winners. How is your favorite team doing.
Mexico defeated France 2 - 0, Greece 2 - Nigeria 1, and Argentina blew by South Korea winning 4 - 1. There must have been a few pep talks in the locker rooms, no tie games for the past two days.
Friday June 18, 2010 World Cup 2010 enters Day 8.
We have a couple of teams playing today that have something to prove. Can Germany walk all over their opponent again, how is the United States and England going to fare today? Let's see who's playing today.
Game 21 will be between Germany and Serbia and played at Nelson Mandela Bay (Port Elizabeth), with a capacity for the World Cup of 48,459. Game 23 will be between England and Algeria at Cape Town Stadium (Cape Town), with a capacity for the World Cup of 69,070.
Game 22 will be between Slovenia and United States and played at Ellis Park (Johannesburg), with a capacity for the World Cup of 65,000.
How about a quick quiz, what flag belongs to what country... good luck.

Thanks for the daily updates Al and Peggy!
I'll be rooting for the US today. Hope I get to see a little here and there between work.
It is exciting but the sound of whatever they are doing is annoying!! What a headache the people must have who are there after a game...
Al and Peggy,
I just finished watching the game between the USA and Slovenia. What a comeback by the United States to earn a point! They should have won it if it wasn't for a strange call the referee made to disallow a US goal in the second half.
No problem Roger, this is history in the making.
Looks like another tie game for the U.S. Gabe, we'll take it over a loss....
Can't imagine having to sit through that noise live Pat! Ear shattering!
Oh those referee's Gerry! Keeping us on the edge of our seats though...
