July 1st Is Canada Day; And The City of Brampton Is Going To Celebrate Big At the Powerade Centre In Brampton Ontario Canada

Its going to be a lively Canada Day celebration at Brampton's Powerade Centre July 1st beginning at 10 a.m. til close at 10 p.m. The action packed day of fun and excitement will get started with a rendition of 'O Canada' and will include the traditional cake cutting ceremony, midway, high flying circus acts, inflatable fun houses, monster truck rides and five stages of live entertainment with something for everyone.
The Powerade Centre will also host music entertainment beginning at 6:00 p.m., by Big Sugar, Finger Eleven & Massari. The perfect day of celebrations will end with musical fireworks at 10:00 p.m.
Normally Brampton's Canada Day celebrations are held at Chinguacousy Park but with the park currently under renovations, The Powerade Centre at 7575 Kennedy Rd. S., south of Steeles Avenue East will do the honours this year. Unfortunately there is no parking on site but the City is offering free shuttle buses from area parking lots. For more information on the shuttle service visit www.bramptontransit.com for the shuttle schedule.
This is sure to be a fun day for young and old alike. Come on out wearing your red & white and celebrate this beautiful country of ours!

Wow.....great stuff. I'd love to be "up there" to be a part of that. It'd be fun to celebrate at the turn of the month!
Thank you for the update in your area
Wishing you the best on future sales!
Hi Al and Peggy - I was going to have some fun by stating that the Milliken Mills Community Centre in Markham is located at 7600 Kennedy Road just north of Steeles Avenue East so perhaps we might see each other on Canada Day since the numbers on Kennedy were only 25 street numbers apart from the Brampton event which is just south of Steeles Avenue East. But then I noticed that you wrote Steeles Avenue EAST and started writing away. My comment was growing too big so I have switched it into a separate blog post. I need to do a bit more research until I post it. Watch for it. :)
Have a great Canada Day celebration in Brampton. :)
Hey guys, I'm sure there will be plenty of photo ops to be had and another post will be forth coming. Go out and celebrate the day, it sounds like a full menu. No, no, I mean venue, you didn't mention food.
Hi Peggy & Al,
Just dropped by to say have a fabulous Canada Day!
Larry it is a great way to change the month! We are hoping for blue skies and white puffy clouds!
Your welcome Vick and thanks for the best wishes for the sales....need that luck for a deal tonight!
Oh ya Michael, we kick off with our Canada Day and keep going through your July 4th!!
That's ok Marc, now we know there is a meeting of the roads on Kennedy, except ours runs north and south! Have fun at Milliken Mills, we heard it should be great weather!
ha, ha, yes we are sure there will be plenty of food there too Ed! We'll keep the celebrations moving til the 4th!
Al & Peggy, I just stopped by to wish you a Happy Canada Day...it sounds like the North American continent is going to be in the party mode this weekend!!
Ah thank you Nick and what a great picture, love it. Looks like our prairie lands. Yes, on the other side of the pond, they are going to hear us and see our blazing lights of fireworks! Even the World Cup knows they can't compete!
Al and Peggy,
Happy Canada Day from Red Lodge, Montana. I will be coming back to this post for more celebrating with my Canadian Buddies.
I read about Canada Day in the daily history email that Russel forwards to me. Happy Canada Day!
Thanks Gerry from the Red Lodge!
Hey Jim, now that sounds interesting, a daily history email....had never heard of it before!
