And what's even more amazing is that Paul, the Octopus, predicted it correctly! Wow.
Al and Peggy,
Viva España! Ole, Ole, Ole!
Thank you for these series of posts on the 2010 World Cup. Muchas gracias a los dos! :)
That was a pretty physical game today. The Netherlands had their chances on a couple of breakaways, but just couldn't convert.
Congratulations to Spain! What a match that was! Now it's officially baseball season!
By the way, thank you guys so much for your World Cup blog series. The updates were wonderful and the entire series was..... World Class!

Al and Peggy, there is a new name on the Cup, and even though they did not start off their first round playing as expected, they sure finished strong.

Hey Al & Peg: Only fitting that the final game was decidedat the end of overtime. The Dutch took themselves completely out of the game with their aggressive style, so many yellow cards and a red. They had great players but their game plan did them in, especially with the lost opportunities. Either way it was a great game and a chance for a new name on the cup
It was an exciting last half for sure. Glad to see it didn't finish with a kick off. Nice win for Spain.
Al & Peggy - You guys did an excellent job of keeping us up to date on the 2010 World Cup and I'm excited that Spain won. Although I wish it was another player who would have scored the winning goal.
