Wordless Wednesday - There Is Beauty in a Swamp
Beauty and the Beast Swamp

They say a pictures is worth a thousand words. If you had to describe this picture... what would you say?
How could such a beautiful flower grow in a swamp? What kind of flower is it? Maybe "Mother Nature" is sending us a message... could she be saying something like "you can always find something good in any situation... just look for it".

Great lesson. . . raising up to the occasion when no one expects it. .
Good morning Al and Peggy,
Looks a jewel resting amongest the murky waters!
Al and Peggy, Nice shot! Sometimes amazed at the variety of flowers and where you can find them!
Al and Peggy.....the nasty protecting the beautiful....but isn't that how much of life is???
Good Morning Al and Peggy,
Thanks for the post. Great picture and message. Have a great day.
True to life, if you look hard enough you can find beauty in everything.
Al & Peggy,
I like the message of being able to find the beauty in every situation. Because IT'S TRUTH. : )
Steve
Don't you just love how something so beautiful can be found where you least expect it to be?
There is a famous Ansel Adams photograph of a lone flower growing out of a crack in a city sidewalk that has always reminded me that beauty can be found anywhere.
Yes, Fernando, rising to the occasion when no one expects it, is a very good motto
It is a jewel isn't it Dorie. Looks like just a tiny flower.
Yes, who would have thought that something so pretty was in a swamp, with all the yuck!
Definitely is life Barbara, definitely is.
Thanks Patrick and you have a great day as well!
You just have to look Diane for sure, sometimes harder than other times.
It is the truth Steve, we have to work hard at it, because its there.
You've piqued our interest Craig, going to see if we can find that picture.....
Hi Al & Peggy,
You are right of course, there is beauty in everything you just have to look for it!
Have a wonderful day :)
Sharon, you have a wonderful Wednesday as well and yes look for the beauty!
Al and Peggy, you can't beat mother nature. There is so much all around us that some times we just take it for granted.
We do tend to take it for granted don't we George. Then we lose it and cry. Have a great Wednesday!
Looks like my garden? Just kidding... Great message... Looks like what I call a "Peace Lily" ?
Great lily photo but the best is your profile shot. I would hire you both if I were looking in the area.
shelton
Al & Peggy - My guess would be that is a lily in the middle of swamp. Beautiful photo!
Great photograph...almost looks like a painting. The colors are wonderful.
You can see the darndest things, all you need to do is look.
Thanks for finding it!
Now my first question is why were you wading in the swamp? LOL JK It is a pretty picture of that flower.
Your too funny Marilyn! Thanks for telling us its a peace lily, thought it was some sort of lily but that was it. Have a great day!
Awww, thanks Allen! Does that mean we would be hired on the Honeycutt team?
And you would be absolutely correct Michelle LOL!
Thanks John, you are encouraging us!
Ellen, are eyes will now be peeled on the world around us!
Have you seen our wading boots Debra?
This sounds silly but I love swamps. I find the greatest birds and flowers in spots like that. It's photography heaven lol.
Al & Peggy - We have a lot of swamps here in Florida and I can tell you first hand there is a plethora of beauty if you look for it. Good post!
Al and Peggy, it looks to be a spathe (peace plant). I have them growing in my office...
Hi Al and Peggy - You can find all kinds of amazing species in the swamp. Just be careful of those alligators when you roam the swamps in Florida and don't be too tasty for the mosquitos in the Ontario swamps.
As Marilyn said, it is one of the peace lilies (Spathiphyllum sp.) although I am not sure which one. There are about 40 varieties, and most books only show you pictures of the most popular ones, of which swamp specimens are not.
