Name That Photo - Here's Your Answer
We had a couple of researchers on this one and they almost answered all the questions. Still want to give it a shot before seeing the answers below, if so click here Name That Photo.
Everybody figured out it was a caboose, that in itself is good, because we can't say the last time we saw one at the end of a long line of railway cars. A neat part of history gone but not forgotten.
When it came to the questions, what year was it built, where was it built and who built it, it got a little tougher. Russel narrowed down the years, Jenny got it's location, then Marc put two and two together and came up with the correct year it was built... 1903.
As for where and who built it... those ones got you. To find out those answers, watch this short video.
By the way, you all put in a good effort, so you are all winners. Let us know the next time you are in the area and we will introduce you to Webers new ice cream bar... we had the new flavour "birthday cake" tasted just like it.

Wow, totally missed that one. I need to pay more attention to what is going on. I check the contests often, sometimes I participate, some I don't. I think I participate in the next 30 in 30.
Al & Peggy - Now Weber's looks delicious, I can always go for a great burger.
Al and Peggy I knew there had to be a perfectly good explanation as you why I did not get this, and that is because I have heard of "Grand Funk Railroad", but never of "Grand Trunk". It had to be the "r" in "Trunk" that threw me off :) :) :)
Al and Peggy - Sorry I missed the contest but I do remember the drive up the 400 to get a burger at Bryce's.
Very clever! Great Idea!
Hi Al and Peggy - This was a great name that photo challenge.
Al & Peggy-the caboose part was easy, but the rest of it...not even close. With George's answer I feel another music post coming on!
You must have taken this when I called you and you told me you were having ice cream at Weber's... we haven't been there in more than ten years, but will be in the neighbourhood Thanksgiving weekend, you have tempted me...
Ooooooooh, look at all those other train cars! We're going there when Jim and I finally make it to the great white north. Not while it's white, though. It's against Jim's religion.
It's not against my religion. Well, maybe it is. Alright, it is. I like it when the temperature is somewhere between 65°F and 75°F. Anything else, and it's simply too cold or too hot.
