Throwing A Hallowe'en Party This Weekend? Make It Purr...

If you are hosting a Hallowe'en party this weekend and want to mix up something a little different, try stirring up a Black Cat.

It is a purr-fectly bewitching drink that will have your crowd purring like kittens for! This cocktail won't jinx the night, but will turn your get together into such a success, it will make a party planner's eyes green.

Black Cat

Hallowe'en black cat

1 oz. Schnapps, black cherry (Black Haus)
1 1/2 oz. Vodka
2 oz. Cola
2 oz. Cranberry

Stir everything together with ice. Garnish with mandarin orange slice. Enjoy!

Just make sure all your guest drink responsibly, if not send them home in a cab or keep them overnight!

Hi Al & Peggy! The real question is... are YOU throwing a Hallowe'en party this weekend? And if so, I am wondering how long it will take me to drive up there...

Happy Hallowe'en!

Al and Peggy I am not throwing a Halloween party, but that drink sounds pretty good.  I might just have to have my own private party :)

ha, ha no we aren't Andrea but maybe we should and of course you would be invited! Is that the cute Grandson already to go trick or treating?

It would be a worthy drink at your own private affair George, give it a shot! It was the cranberry juice that got us, oh well, let's be honest amongst friends, it really was the Schnapps! LOL!

Hey Al and Peggy - Thanks for the reminder about my black cat.  I forgot all about him until I read your post.  Hope he is still in good condition since last year (or was it the previous year?). ;)

Ahhhh... I think this weekend is a great time to party.  I'll have to pass on your suggestion to the bartender.

Al and Peggy - That drink sounds ghoulishly disgusting! How about this one: 1 1/2 oz Vodka, 2 oz grapefruit juice, 6 oz soda water, lots of ice and a Florida sunset?

I was almost with you with the black cherry schnapps, but you lost me with the cola and cranberry. I wonder if I can substitute Sprite and raspberry. J

Sounds delightful. I will have to give it a whirl as I will party hardy this weekend...

Hey Guys, that's some mixture. I well remember having several wild parties and on more than one occasion inviting select guests to spend the night and not drive home. But now my wife says I can't do that any more.

Al and Peggy - I am having a party, but no one drinks alcohol except me....   Hmm  I wonder how that will taste with no alcohol?

Ed - so sorry about your lack of parties...  we'll have to cook up an AR party for husbands and wives!

Could just see you running up Main St. in Unionville in your black cat outfit Marc! Have fun!

Even better Margaret, let some else mix it up for you, great idea! ;)

And don't forget the exhausted part Chris as Alec jumps around on his sugar rush!!

Something new always gets people 'testing' Wanda! ;)

Ok that one wins John, the goblins agreed uunanimously

Might just work Russel, we would have to call it a 'Zoey' tonic!

As only a genie can party Michael!

Actually Ellen that sounds like a plan, a few black cats, followed by John's Sunset chaser, and Russel's 'Zoey' tonic!! LOL!

Oh my gosh Ed we can picture it, only after picking ourselves off the floor with YOUR photo!!

Probably still good Dagny, but yours should still have a shot of the good stuff LOL! ;)

Sounds like a good idea Josh, but after the grandson is in la-la land dreaming of his candy bounty, you can indulge, just a little

Have a great weekend too Laura!
