Did You See That Email Active Rain Sent... Many Are Hoping You Read It! It's Time To Pay It Forward!
The email is below, but to save you some time, let us spell it out to you. On November 5th, 2010 Active Rain will be presenting Rain Camp New Orleans.
Here's the good news, quoted from the AR email...
"This RainCamp, we've decided to do something special - we're giving ALL our Gold ticket proceeds to charity!
We're stopping by NAR weekend for this one day event, offering donation-based tickets and giving 100% of the proceeds to Make It Right - a New Orleans based charity that is helping rebuild New Orleans Lower 9th Ward with affordable, green, storm resistant homes. Make It Right has already brought over 200 people home, completed 50 houses and is on track to build 100 more! Let's help them get there!"
November is a month of remembrance, with November 11th approaching we will be remembering all of our past and present Armed Forces members.
We want to challenge you to remember the people of New Orleans, make a donation. We have 195,044 members of Active Rain today... if we all donated $10, that would be $1,950,044 (had to use our calculator to figure that one out).
Now we have to tell you that the Rain Camp can not accomodate all 195,044 of us. We have no intentions of attending the camp, but will be purchasing our ticket.
We don't want to drive Kerrie crazy, but we are sure there is some way for her to figure it out. Kerrie if you are watching, maybe you could make a comment and advise the AR membership how to make the donation and let you know that they will not be attending.
Are you up for the challenge... it's all up to you!!!

Okay, we just purchased our $10 ticket... are you going to Pay It Forward, it's easy, if AR has your credit card on file, just click "donation-based tickets" and place your donation amount in the box in the upper right corner (gold ticket) and purchase. Don't forget to let them know that you will not be attending if that is the case.

Thanks for stopping by, we had to make this post Public so you can reblog it. We added instructions at the bottom of the post on how to send your donation. $10 in your pocket won't go far, but 195,000 $10 in the hands of "Make It Right" will make a huge difference.
