Al and Peggy's Corner: Say It Isn't So, Who Is Going To Cheer The Superball XLV - We're Speechless This Sunday!

Say It Isn't So, Who Is Going To Cheer The Superball XLV - We're Speechless This Sunday!

What do Greenbay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers, The Cleveland Browns, The Chicago Bears, The New York Giants and the The Detroit Lions all have in common?
All of these teams don't have cheerleaders.
What!!?? We are not sure if this is going to be a first or not, but no cheerleaders at the Superball XLV Football game?
Usually we enjoy two cheer leading squads at the Super Bowl games, but this year not even one to encourage the boys.  The funny thing is this year's Superbowl is being hosted in Dallas, Texas, the home of the famous Dallas Cheerleaders!!

No Cheerleaders Here.

The fans better carry the ball on this one and yell their hearts out!
Maybe the Dallas 'girls' will be in the stands giving the odd cheer.

I had no clue so I asked my sports nut hubby and he didn't know this either.  I'm sure the camera crews will find some worthy candidates in the stands.

I know the Steelers don't have cheerleaders, and I guess if you are Speechless, I will have to cheer the Steeler's on.  Looking forward to the game.  Gooooo Steelers.  I just thought I would subscribe to your blog because you are football fans.

Al & Peggy, sorry to say the only football watched in this house is soccer. My husband shouted and cheered at the TV all morning!

No cheerleaders?! What are these team leaders thinking? What's a football game without cheeleaders...guess we'll be twirling the Terrible Towels from the couch like many other fans - my brother lives in Pittsburgh! Enjoy the game Al & Peggy!

Yes, I heard about the fact of no cheer leaders.  But, if I know the "Cheeseheads" they will come up with something to fill the void.  Go Pack.

Okay, Peggy pull out the old uniform and get down there and get a few squads put together, great info I was not aware of that. I am a lifelong Giants fan and knew they didn't have any, but I wasn't aware of the other teams. This is odd, what's next I am going to give previously unknown hockey trivia   LOL

This should be a very interesting game Pat, thanks for the subscribe!

You must have also had an interesting summer Ellen!!

Towels and Cheese, who needs cheerleaders right Wanda?

Garrigus, must be the answer, they always did look freezing out there!

You're absolutely right Sue! Should be a fun game anyway!

Oh yes, Kathy you can almost bet on that!

You certainly do Larry LOL! And after that you have your own baseball team.

Yes, cousin Ken, global warming for sure! LOL!

Well Gerry, we only hope there is still a half time show!

Both of those teams play in open air stadiums.  Can you imagine the cheer leaders in snowsuits and heavy jackets?  Guess the owners thought that no one would look at them in those outfits and so why bother.  Thanks for the blog.

Forget cheerleading. It looks like Larry could field his own team with that clan!

Good point Steve!

Hi Al & Peggy, I am almost afraid to tell you that the only reason I would turn the Superbowl on is for... the commercials. But since you can see them online....

Nevermind.. I don't want to have my house egged or anything like that...

Posted by Andrea Swiedler, Realtor, Southern Litchfield County CT (Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties) about 8 years ago

OMG, Al and Peggy, I have been a fan of the STEELERS since probably 1973, and I never ever noticed that...  Now, I have known, since that time that the Dallas Cowboys had their cheerleaders ;-)
