This fellow was in a rush.
He wasn't about to go back and forth to the nest all day. He believes in one stop shopping.

blackbird with his beak full of bird seedtwo birds eating in the grass

He filled his beak to the limit and seems to say to his other two feathered friends  "sorry but I have an impatient family to feed"!  We mean really, could he jam any more seed in his beak?

Sometimes you can relax over lunch and other times you have to eat on the fly!

Al & Peggy - he's not in a hurry, he's just efficient!  ;)  Plus he doesn't want those little guys to get all his seed.

Hi Al and Peggy...LOL...I think I eat on the fly more often then I care to admit.  Thanks for the visual...I need to take time and enjoy lunch.  Have a great week-end.

That bird must have a pretty full nest as it doesn't want to make a lot of trips. You can almost hear the chirping from the nest, 'bring us food, bring us food'

Looks like mamma is serving breakfast.  Very interesting photo of the moment.  The birds look intent on eating.

I am guilty of eating on the fly and always have a granola bar or two in my purse or in the console of my car for emergencies.

Ahhh, the desk munchers! Have a Pfanntastic weekend yourself Peter and Linda and hope you get a quiet meal in there somewhere.

That is one thing about them Ellen, squawky!

Michael we think they were starving! Even though we feed them everyday!

Smart girl! Us too, you just never know what the day brings!

Hi Al and Peggy - He must have decided to go to the buffet that day.  Much more efficient.

Someone has a great imagination Al and Peggy,  I like the "wall" the two sparrows seem to make, either blocking the parent, or waiting for a spill...

OK are these birds really looking at each another?  If they are, I think the blue jay is daring the other two to come closer.  He would drop his food and let the feathers fly. :->

The birds that visit our place just sit here and eat and eat and eat. Zoey the Cool Cat likes it though because she has a front seat at the window.

Too Cute. I try to stuff as much as I can in my mouth too. It helps me stay efficient as well. Lol!
