Brampton, Ontario, Canada's New Years Eve 2011 Bash

champagne glass and balloons with numbers 2 0 1 1 Still wondering what to do this New Years Eve? If you are close to Brampton, Ontario, Canada come on down to Gage Park at the corner of Main St. and Wellington St. where the fun kicks off at 7:00 p.m.

The theme this year is 'Let It Glow' and glowing is what our beautiful downtown will be. There will be a street carnival with wandering buskers, the fireguy, stilt walkers, an ice sculptures park that will be glowing, skating at Gage Park itself, a meet & greet with Puss in Boots, Jellybeenz craft station, multiple fire pits to warm up and toast marshmallows and even gaming stations for play station, game cube and X-box.

Live local bands will liven up the crowd starting at 8:00 p.m. on the main stage until the fireworks display at 9:00 p.m. at the City Hall. Thornley will then take over the music performing hits from Big Wreck, followed by Bedouin Soundclash who will dance us out of 2011.

Be ready to ring in the New Year with more fireworks at the Rose Theatre!!  This is sure to be a fun night for the whole family.

Happy New Year everybody, let's make it a year that sparkles with happiness!

First Night in Brampton sounds like a fun time. If I start walking right now I should be able to get there for the clean up

That sounds like bunches of fun Al/Peggy.  Smart idea to have fire pits too...toasty buns are always appreciated. ;-)

Al & Peggy, it sounds like a wild and fun New Years Eve in Brampton Ontario...I agree with Anita about the fire for Ed...look for him to show up by next New Years Eve 2013!!  Especially if he passes a golf course or two along the way.

Al & Peggy, I plan a quiet night at home, and my only fire pit will be cooking and preparing for company the next day. Have a great New Year!

Now you've got me wondering what the heck a "wandering busker" is. Never heard that description before. I supposed Google or Wikipedia will tell me.

Best wishes for 2012!

LOL! Ya the clean up from the 2012 bash Ed!

They are Anita, would really like to see the ice sculptures.

Forgot the golf courses Nick and seeing as Brampton has so many you're right it will be 2013!

Those are great New Years Eves too Anita, at home with family. Have fun New Year's Day!

Buskers are street performers Jim....just sounds more enchanting. You must have them there in San Diego. Have a happy and successful 2012 yourself Jim!
