Speechless Sunday - Would You Spend 200 Dollars For A Ride On A Roller Coaster?

Canada's Wonderland, a premier themed amusement park that is about 30 minutes east of Brampton is preparing to unveil their 16th roller coaster that will be the country's tallest and fastest roller coaster, 'The Leviathan'.

When completed it will be 306 ft. high, about 5,486 in length with an 80 degree drop and will have 3 trains carrying 32 brave souls per train at a top speed of 148 km. per hour
(
that's 92 miles per hour for our American friends), for 3 long minutes and 28 seconds.  Talk about a ride!

We wish the pictures were better, but we couldn't get close enough right now! Hopefully in the summer we will be able to show you the Leviathan with better shots!

Even though the Leviathan promises to be the talk of the summer of 2012
, would you spend over $200.00 dollars to say you were one of the first passengers on this amazing ride?

Currently Canada's Wonderland is accepting bids for the Leviathan's maiden run which will be held on April 27, 2012.
All proceeds from the auction will go to benefit the Toronto Sick Kids Hospital. Bidding closes on April 18, 2012.  You can place your bid at www.Leviathan.canadaswonderland.com.

We think we will pass on this one
, heck we can't even say the name properly yet!

Uhhh...no way! I do not like to ride unless I am driving. Must be a control thing. But even greater is the no associated with $200!

Ummmm..... in a word NO!  I was scaird clear at about 7 years old by a coaster.  But.... I have been on a few in later years but it's certainly not a favorite activity.

Al and Peggy- the answer in a nutshell is NO.  And if you paid me $200, I still wouldn't ride on it.  But I'm not a roller coaster kind of person!

Al & Peggy, Under the circumstances, and with the proceeds helping sick kids?  Of course :)  That's going to be one wicked roller coaster ride!

I don't need to spend $200 to take a first ride that will get me sick real quick. I can look out a 3rd story window for free and get the same results

Al and Peggy,

That's about 60 mph too fast for this American friend. I'll stay with the grandkids on their rides.

LOL Ed!  I would just send the money right to the kids.  Rollercoasters + Debbie = too much vomit and screaming.

Oh boy....kind of makes me dizzy and sick to my tummy thinking of it!!!   To many ear problems in the past to handle roller coasters of any kind these days!  I hope that many others don't feel the way most here do though so that they can raise a lot of money for sick kids!

I love helping sick children but can't see myself riding this monster, especially on the maiden trip.

LOL Gary, we are with you feet flat on the floor, even though we know the $200 is for a very important cause.

Yeah no special thrill for us to saw we were one of the first either, but apparently they have more than 23 that are saying yes Kim.

We are laughing because even a few die hard coaster riders are hmmmming at this one Jeanne and Ralph!

LOL Kathy! That said it all and you have company!

Apparently Marc, we haven't been in that long either but something tells us we are going to be dragged there this year! ;)

OUCH! Big time Fernando!! At least this one for $200 is only a few minutes long and you get to keep your shirt!

You are very, very brave BLitz, very brave....we're gonna check this one out for a very, very long time! We'll just donate the $200 to the Sick Kids Hospital!

Hey Ed, what about that ferris wheel ride in Niagara? We didn't know we were making you feel sick!!

Yeah, we probably will be on the ground holding all the 'loose' items while the little ones enjoy! They can't wait!

Debbie are sentiments are the same, but we will be watching the brave ones.

It would probably be a claim to fame down the road for some folks, but certainly not us Deborah. This pictures don't do it justice at all.
