Walk For The Homeless In Brampton Ontario Canada

foot printCould you walk 5 to 10 kilometers to benefit the homeless?
Could you walk at night, when baby its cold outside?

This Saturday February 25th that is exactly what people taking part in a fundraiser to benefit the Regeneration Outreach Community in Brampton, Ontario, Canada will be doing.
In fact this walk is expected to be happening in about 18 cities across Canada as well.

The goal is to raise at least $25,000 to support the Outreach community's Breakfast Program.
Last year they served 23,036 breakfasts.

Registration takes place at 4:00 p.m. and the walk will start at 5:00 p.m.
A warm, light snack will follow the walk and will probably be appreciated by all of the walkers.

For more information contact Ted Brown 905-796-5888 or go to www.coldestnightoftheyear.org and don't forget to bundle up!

Those food programs do help a lot to offset picking between paying a bill and going hungry I bet. Bless this event! Love and light! :)

This sounds like a worthwhile cause Al & Peggy, hope that it is a success!

Hope so too Chris, they do it at night and in February so it will be cold. Participants experience a small touch of what the homeless feel

Thanks Laura, we are hoping it is a huge success.

It's just too bad that there is a reason they are needed Anita, but that is the way of the world.

Thanks Tom, hopefully next year there will be more than 18 places across the country but this is only their second event.

Hi you two-this is a great way to show solidarity and btw, to understand how cold it is for people with no shelter.

Can't even begin to imagine all the trials and tribulations of living on the street Joanna. We take our warm bed and hot meals for granted, no doubt about that.

I hope the event gets a smashing turn out Al and Peggy. It must be very difficult being homneless in the winter time. I couldn't imagine all the hardships.

Now we can't imagine either Malcolm. We are hoping for a big success for them also.
