The City of Brampton will have city staff members on hand to answer your questions
regarding permit requirements, applications and zoning laws.

Good morning Al and Peggy.  A little bit of planning can ensure a much smoother home project.  The 311 call is a great early step.

Al/Peggy, Nice way to get the word out on this Brampton Ontario Event. Knowing what proper tools to use and permits to have can make a home improvement job so much easier!

So many DIY'ers don't get permits when remodeling their homes and it only causes problems when they go to sell it. Not to mention that if there is God forbid a fire in the home, insurance won't cover the damage if it's deemed to have been caused by the unpermitted modifications.

Al and Peggy, what a great way to encourage people to get permits. Here in DC they make it so difficult that many people don't even bother with permits.

Permit requirements are a must do!  Dont' drive the first nail without checking!

On the fly here but hope you have a great day in all you do my friends.

Al and Peggy that is the first time that I have heard of a city doing that, but I think it is a great idea.

Al and Peggy that is such a great idea.  Getting answers to questions will probably help a homeowner remain on the right side of the building and zoning department.

Oh yes Chris and labour saving if the City checks and finds out its all done right!

Absolutely Larry and Sheila, do it right, do it once they say.

We thought it was too Rob.  An easy way for the residents to get information on what the City requires.

During these next 3 Saturdays it can Anita, pick up information and products in one stop.

Absolutely correct Craig!  Better to find out what the City requires before building and finding out it is wrong.

This is the first time that we know of the City coming out to hardware stores, we think its a great idea Pat.

Yes, get those permits and learn how to do things right.  Good luck with your day John.

The same here George and we think it will be a success.

Yes Jennifer.  If you have all the information, you only have to do the job once!

Hi Al and Peggy - In Markham, residents can call the Markham Customer Care Centre at Markham Civic Centre.

That is even more convenient Marc and important that a home owner utilizes it!
