Dr. Stacey-Ann Baugh challenged us a few months back to Get Healthy in the Rain. Boy did she motivate us. We took a cold hard look at our lifestyle and although we liked what we saw in the free style lifestyle, we didn't like what we saw in the mirror or what we knew we were doing to ourselves. 

So we joined in the challenge and started juicing and walking. When the challenge ended, we didn't! For the month of May we challenged ourselves to walk 45 miles for the month.

We are on track. We have walked 42 miles so far and we have to admit it has been enjoyable and enlighting. We mix it up when and where we walk and have even bumped into people who recognize us doing it! So business is getting a boost as well as our health.

We always knew Brampton, Ontario was a beautiful City and had a lot to offer, but we didn't appreciate it as much as we do now that we have been stepping out!

To help us along and make things interesting, we downloaded an app called MapMyWalk. It tracks how we're doing, how many miles we have done etc. There is also an app called MapMyRide for cyclists.  Check it out.

We think we just might challenge ourselves again next month. You in?

Hi Kids, that App seems to be an ideal one for me to grab. One of my partners had a pedometer that last time we played and with the extra zig and zag, he came up with 6 miles on that one round with 1800 calories burned. That might explain my summer weight drop very easily

Good for you two! I have also just started juicing/blending seriously, but I do have to be more consistent with walking! I have just been for a lovely walk in the bluffs!

Love your dedication and consistency, and the app sounds great...We love walking on the beach as often as we can for a couple of hours, and we usually manage 3 to 4 times a week, and we also add Yoga practice to the mix. A

Peggy and Al, great job.  Since Dicks heart attack 15 months ago he has walked a minimum of 5 miles a day, every day.  His cardiologist told him that walking was almost better than diet.  It's a good thing, easy and cheap.
