Al and Peggy's Corner: Actively Raining..........Wet And Soggy

Actively Raining..........Wet And Soggy

Yesterday was a beautiful sun shining summer day.......finally. We have had enough rain. So much in fact that warnings have gone out to the public to be aware of our over flowing rivers and streams. In some areas the water is overflowing onto the sidewalks. Please watch the children, they love to play around water but this is dangerous!

We have had so much rain, we have even had trouble keeping our flowers from floating away, they're drowning! I keep pouring the water off them, but it keeps coming back!

I know, I know, we shouldn't complain. There are some areas that need our rain, but please this area has had enough......for now.

Today there is more rain. If the forcast is right it looks like we may have a few days of sunshine and warm temperatures before another few days of rain rolls in. Let's hope everything has dried out by then.

Good morning Al and Peggy -

ENJOY the rain and being wet and soggy!  Oh what we would give for even a few drops of the wet stuff.  We're hitting unusually hot triple digits, no rain since last fall and wildfires still blazing with new ones popping up.  Count your blessings and the soggy weather.

Al/Peggy: For the past few weeks we have had a few days of rain followed by a few days of sun then the cycle repeats itself.  Today it is hot as blazes in middle GA!

Al and Peggy, we have been getting rain by the buckets over the last two weeks, and flooding has been a problem.

It's been wet here too.  I see you're still walking and I applaud you for it!  I put on my old Yankees hat and went for a run in the rain the other day, I had the whole trail to myself.

Hi kids, we had over 14 inches of the stuff across a 2 week period. Made for some angry and very long faces, but the sun did show up and it was a wonderful sight

It's the flooding that had us worried for the kids. The streams and rivers are over flowing and running rapidly!! Kids and streams like that are a deadly combination.  The last few sunny days have cured most of it!
